Macro Flowers (at Gamble)
Check back soon for new dates to be posted in 2017.
Macro Flowers class and a free follow up session
The Macro Flower Photography class workshop will be held in Palo Alto’s Elizabeth Gamble Garden. We will photograph flowers with an eye for color and composition. The workshop will focus on the flowers that are in bloom this month, and the use of macro lenses.
In this field class I will guide you through photography of flowers, you will visit an intimate beauty of flora we rarely get to see in day to day life. I will demonstrate and compare Macro lenses and telephoto lenses enlarging properties with flowers as the subject. I will show you how to be patient with your tripod! Tripod demos and narrow apertures will be introduced, explored, and displayed. I will introduce you to the Zen of Photography!
There will be a follow up class component to see the images on Thursday November 24th, from 7 to 9pm. I will demo Lightroom for this review, and by completing the cycle of shooting and then seeing your work you will gain a better grasp of your camera functions that heretofore may have remained hidden. Six people only.
