DSLR Jumpstart Explore ~Street/Location portraits

In this portrait workshop we will mine downtown Palo Alto for cool backgrounds for interesting and creative portraits. Learn how to find places to photograph people you may not see in your daily life. We will examine the proper settings for portrait work, the Way to Shoot review cycle, as explained in the Jumpstart DSLR class and bring practical applied experience to using your camera well in pursuit of excellent photographs. For the morning session we will micro-manage your life in manual Mode, in the afternoon we will look at the very photos we shot in the morning using the marvelous features of Lightroom to review examine and edit images the way photographers do. By completing the cycle of shooting and then reviewing you will learn the precision and the power of your DSLR camera that heretofore may have remained hidden. We have tested this class format and students love it.
 

The explore workshops are designed for people who have had one of the Jumpstart DSLR workshops. If you are interested and have not taken one of these PhotoTrainer classes, and are an intermediate level photographer you are welcome to join us; do nevertheless, call Tom before signing up. Please note also all our workshops teach the Digital SLR camera. You need one of these cameras to participate in a class. We only teach point-and-shoot cameras in private one-on-one sessions. Please read "Is your camera a DSLR?" to determine if your camera is a Single Lens Reflex camera.
